Joshua Josey

Joshua Michael Josey joined the NAMI Lowcountry Board of Directors as an experienced Clinical Mental Health Counselor. His passion for counseling developed as a Counseling Intern during his psychology undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina – Beaufort.

My Story

Josh graduated from Walden University with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is currently pursuing his PhD in Psychology. He currently is employed as the

Director of Counseling & Accessibility Services at University of South Carolina – Beaufort.

With over 10 years of experience working with Mental Health Organizations in the Low Country, Josh Josey provides a unique experience to guide our team in working with state agencies. His extensive practice as a mental health counselor will provide an insightful look at helping those living with severe mental health issues on behalf of NAMI Lowcountry’s Mission.

Josh and his family have lived in the Beaufort area for over 20 years.
